According to media reports from China, an insider revealed that Chinese actress Zhao Wei registered her marriage in Singapore a few days ago with a Singaporean businessman, and will hold her wedding dinner in October this year. Zhao Wei's manager denied the reports and pointed out that Zhao is currently held up with work and will not be getting married in the near future.

The 33-year-old actress has been plagued with rumours ever since her debut in the entertainment industry. She was once speculated to have been involved with actors Chen Kun and Huang Xiao Ming. Earlier this month, Zhao openly declared her intentions to temporarily leave the entertainment circle to concentrate on her studies after the completion of the film Hua Mulan's promotional events.

However, insiders discovered and exposed Zhao's original intentions for a temporary departure for her own marriage plans. She is said to be registered to a Singaporean businessman and the couple is set to marry soon. During an interview with the Hong Kong press, her manager denied the rumours and declared that Zhao will not be getting married in the near future as she had a few more projects lined up.

Zhao's manager further elaborated that the media mistook the actress's original intentions for a temporary departure and clarified that Zhao is currently busy with completing her schoolwork and selecting her next movie project.

Netizens have speculated that these her scandals are being used as promotional tools for Zhao's newest film, Hua Mulan. The marketing team for the movie responded to these allegations, "We were not the ones who released all these news. During the entire filming process of the movie, we felt that Zhao Wei didn't look like a person who was about to get married."
