CNA reported taht Hong Kong singer Aaron Kwok is owned 8 million Taiwan dollars in performance fees for his Guangzhou concert in January. The concert organiser is said to be in hiding.
Concert organiser Luo Jiahui, who was also an acquaintance of Kwok's, is alleged
to have absconded with the money and is nowhere to be found. According to
reports, Luo, who previously managed Taiwanese actress Shu Qi and Hong Kong
singer Daniel Chan, got China mall boss Liu Guojie to invest 20 million Taiwan
dollars in the show. Staff salaries, together with light and sound facilities,
amounted to approximately 10 million Taiwan dollars while the remaining amount
was meant for Kwok’s performance fees.
Liu and his staff, together with Kwok’s record label, “Music Nation” have tried
contacting Luo, who went into hiding and refused to take any calls.
“Music Nation”, Aaron Kwok record label have proceeded with legal action and issued an attorney letter to Luo Jiahui. Expressing a statement via his assistant, Liu said, “We have gone through legal procedures to sue Luo and hope that she quickly comes out to clear up matters.”
