Kelly Chen responds to the "surrogate mother" rumors

Recently, Kelly Chen appeared on a talkshow, where the main target of the interview was the rumors of a surrogate that gave birth to her son. Kelly denied to the rumors and said: "I have a scar on my stomach." (from the C-section delivery)

Kelly said that she can still see the red scar on her stomach, and would shiver in fear. She clearly remembers the first time her son was being mischievous in her womb: "He would often have hiccups while in my stomach. Every time he hiccups, I would record it, he did a total of 200+ hiccups."

Speaking of her son's future, Kelly said: "If my son grows up to be a handsome boy and can sing, then I would be his manager (bring him into the entertainment industry)."

Kelly Chen ruffles mother-in-law's feathers

Hong Kong singer-actress Kelly Chen appears to have ruffled the feathers of her mother-in-law by disobeying confinement traditions. Chen's mother-in-law has been taking care of the new mom since she gave birth to son, Chase Lau, on July 10, but sources close to the family said Chen’s parents and her in-laws do not see eye to eye on various issues, such as how Chace should be raised as well as confinement traditions. To make matters worse, Chen tends to side with her mom, infuriating her mother-in-law.

Chen’s mother-in-law who is quite traditional, feels that new mothers should avoid to washing their hair as well as exposure to cold elements such as the air conditioner and cold water. But Chen, being a modern day woman, finds them too restrictive. Nevertheless, the 36-year-old knows that her mother-in-law only has her best interest at heart and tries her best to obey the elder so as not to put her husband, Alex, in a tight spot.

Hong Kong singer Kelly Chen may have just given birth to her son but the hardworking star is already planning on returning to work next month.

According to Apple Daily, Chen, 36, is heading to Taiwan to record an album as well as for a photo shoot end August. She also plans to perform in China in September.

Seems like Chen's son, Chace Lau Sing, has inherited mommy's impatient streak. The little one came into this world earlier than expected on July 10. Chen was due to deliver early August.

Chace shares the same birthday as Hong Kong singer Jacky Cheung and the proud parents hope he will be as talented and successful as the 'Heavenly King'.

Kelly has been keeping very low key closer to her due date. There were report that she disguised herself when going out to the public to hide her heavily pregant tummy. Well now she doesn't have to worry about people seeing her big belly anymore.
