This year's Pusan International Film Festival in South Korea will feature a record 355 movies from 70 countries including 98 receiving their world premiere.
Good Morning President, a South Korean film starring actor Jang Dong-Gun as Korea's youngest president-elect, a latest political comedy by Director Jang Jin will open this year's Pusan International Film Festival, to be held in Oct. 8-16.
Hollywood actor Jogh Hartnett star of Black Hawk Down (2001), is making his visit at the invitation of Korean actor Lee Byung-hun according to organizers. The two, along with Japanese actor Takuya Kimura, starred in "I Come With the Rain," directed by French director of Vietnamese ancestry Tran Anh Hung. The movie is one of this year's entries in the PIFF's only competition category of New Current Award.
The festival will close with The Message, a Chinese film featuring communists fighting against Japanese invaders directed by Chen Kuofu and Gao Qunshu. It is said to be one of the most impressive Chinese films of the year.
Actor Jang Dong-gun will attend the premiere and also make appearances at various gala events, so fans if you want to catch a glimpse of the handsome actor then start buying your tickets now.
