Following the incident on Sunday night at MTV Video Music Awards where Kayne West intercepted Taylor Swift acceptance speech for best music video award, Kayne West has been heavily critised by his peer in the music industry.
Comments received from fellow singers such as Katy Perry, calling his action stepping "on a kitten". Kelly Clarkson also used harsh words saying "What happened to you as a child?? Did you not get hugged enough?”. Kelly was nominated for the award in the same category but missed out to Taylor.
Kayne West offered an apology to Swift and her mother for his behavior, but adding that he still believed Beyoncé’s video was “the best of this decade.” He later posted that he felt “like Ben Stiller in ‘Meet the Parents’ when he messed up everything and Robert De Niro asked him to leave.” He added: “That was Taylor’s moment and I had no right in any way to take it from her. I am truly sorry.”
The damage has been done but at least he said sorry.
