Ngoc Diem and Hoàng Yến nominated to represent Vietnam at Miss Universe 2009

The company Hoan Vu Viet Nam has earned the right to appoint candidates to represent Vietnam to participate in the Miss Universe contest in August 2009 in the Bahamas. Miss Vietnam 2008 first runner up Hoàng Yen and Miss Tourism Vietnam 2008 Ngoc Diem were both nominated to represent Vietnam. The final decision however will rest with the Miss Universe Board to choose either of the two nominated contestant to represent Vietnam.

Miss Tourism Ngoc Diem is currently a student completion her final year in Bachelor of Commerce.

Miss Vietnam (runner up 1) Hoang Yen is a model, she was nominated to represent Vietnam in Miss World 2008 but lost Duong Truong Thiên Lý.
