SKorean pop group attracts 40,000 fans in Shanghai

Top South Korean idol group TVXQ held concert in China on Friday, singing in front of a fully-packed 40,000 audience at the Hongkuo Soccer Stadium in Shanghai.

The five-member boy band, performing in the city for the first time in a year, sang a total of 26 songs including tracks from their most recent fourth album "MIROTIC" and previous hit songs, according to SM Entertainment.

The concert was part of TVXQ's third Asia tour which took off in Seoul in February and has also been held in Beijing and Nangjing.

"It was a special time for us where we were able to feel the love of our Chinese fans," the group was quoted as saying. "We always thank you for the great support."

The band has been one of South Korea's most successful idol groups since their debut in 2003. However, three of its members -- Hero, Micky and Xiah -- filed a lawsuit against SM in July saying that 13-year contract with SM Entertainment is too long and asked the court for provisional disposition of it.
