Korea Scores 3 in Win over Australia

The Korean national soccer team has shown off its offensive arsenal in a friendly victory over Australia.
Three players scored goals in the 3-1 victory Saturday evening at Seoul World Cup Stadium, giving Korea its second straight exhibition win. Korea scored the most goals in this game since beating the United Arab Emirates 4-1 in a World Cup qualifier in October last year.
Park Chu-young opened the scoring in the sixth minute, taking a pass from Ki Sung-yueng and blasting it just past Australian goalie Mark Schwarzer.
Lee Jung-soo doubled the lead in the 21st minute, taking a short Park pass and flicking into the goal at close range.
Australia cut the lead after Patrick Kisnorbo headed the ball into the net in the 34th minute off of a free kick by Marco Bresciano.
Both sides then exchanged shots before Seol Ki-hyeon's header in the 87th minute off a centering pass from Park Ji-sung added an insurance goal for Korea.
Coach Huh Jung-moo has led Korea to a 25-game unbeaten streak. The Taegeuk Warriors have not lost since a 1-0 defeat to Chile January 30th last year.
Korea was at full strength in the game, with Park Ji-sung, Lee Chung-yong and others all in uniform. Australia was missing starters Mark Viduka, Harry Kewell and Tim Cahill.
The game also marked the return to Korea of Australia coach Pim Verbeek. The Dutchman was an assistant coach for Korea in the 2002 and 2006 World Cups and head coach in the 2007 Asian Cup.
