Gentlemen, you may start taking your queue number. Sexy Hong Kong actress Nancy Wu is on the lookout for a boyfriend.
She was in Singapore last week to promote StarHub Cable TV's dramas D.I.E. Again and Rosy Business.
Known for portraying femme fatale or evil characters, the 28-year-old was rumoured to be seeing fellow artiste Kenneth Ma. She quickly dismissed the claims, and said Kenneth, 36, is just a "good friend".
But she was still full of praise for him. "His personality is great. The industry is so complicated, yet he has stayed the same over the years. He's a rare find."
Whether the two will eventually become a couple, she simply laughed, "I leave it to fate."
Indeed, she confessed that she has "no time" in the romance department, and openly and rather urgently expressed her fervent hopes that men make the first move. Now.
"I hope guys who are even just a bit interested in me to come forward. Write to TVB!" She added that this is what she would do if she likes someone.
It could have something to do with her desire to marry after she turns 30 and become a mother before 35. She hollered for the second time, "Please write in enthusiastically! Looks are not a problem, you just have to be a good man! (Laughs)"
Nancy made her debut in 1999 in a singing competition, and soon became known for her impressive dancing abilities, earning her the nickname "TVB Dance Girl". After a string of memorable roles as what some would deem as unsavoury women, mistresses, vixens and hostesses, she took home the Most Improved Actress Award at the 2008 TVB Anniversary Awards.
She self-mocked, "Do I look evil?"
